Upon landing at Paro International Airport, Bhutan’s only international gateway, you will complete the visa and entry formalities. The moment you step outside the terminal, your experienced Bhutanese guide will greet you with a warm, traditional welcome.

From here, embark on a picturesque two-hour drive to Thimphu, the charming capital of Bhutan. The journey winds through the serene countryside, past terraced fields, meandering rivers, and quaint farm villages that perfectly capture the essence of Bhutanese rural life. Along the way, you will have your first glimpses of ornately decorated houses, fluttering prayer flags, and the unmistakable Himalayan backdrop.

День 2. At Thimphu 2,280 m for cultural tour.
After a refreshing breakfast, begin your immersive cultural tour of Thimphu, a city where tradition and modernity harmoniously coexist. Your day starts with a visit to the Memorial Chorten, an impressive stupa built in honor of Bhutan’s late 3rd King, His Majesty Jigme Dorji Wangchuck. This iconic landmark is a place of deep spiritual significance, where you can observe locals performing their daily religious circumambulations.

Next, explore the National Institute of Traditional Medicine, where centuries-old healing practices are still preserved and practiced. A stop at the School of Arts and Crafts offers a fascinating insight into Bhutan’s “13 traditional arts” (Zorig Chusum), from intricate thangka paintings to wood carving and embroidery.

День 3. Drive to Punakha 1,350 m via Dochu-La 3,200 m - 03 hrs.
After a memorable cultural exploration of Thimphu, set off on a picturesque drive to Punakha, passing through the stunning Dochu-La Pass at 3,200 m. On a clear day, this vantage point rewards travelers with a panoramic sweep of Bhutan’s highest peaks, including the majestic Chomolhari (Jumolhari) and a chain of snow-capped summits stretching across the horizon.

Pause at the pass to stroll among the 108 memorial chortens (stupas), a serene and photogenic site draped in fluttering prayer flags. As you descend from the pass, the landscape shifts from cool highlands to the lush, subtropical Punakha Valley.

En route, stop at the historic town of Trongsa, strategically perched on a ridge with commanding views of the Mangde Chhu Valley. Here, visit the Trongsa Dzong, Bhutan’s largest fortress-monastery, which has played a central role in the country’s history. The dzong’s whitewashed walls, intricate woodwork, and tiered courtyards offer a glimpse into Bhutanese craftsmanship and monastic life. Also worth a short stop is the Trongsa Tower Museum, housed in the former watchtower, with exhibits showcasing royal relics, Buddhist art, and the region’s heritage.

By late afternoon, you’ll arrive in Paro and settle into your comfortable hotel. The rest of the day is yours to relax or take a gentle stroll through the town, perhaps exploring local shops for handcrafted souvenirs or sampling traditional Bhutanese snacks.
День 8. Hike to Taksing Monastery Tiger’s Nest overnight in Paro
After an early breakfast, a short drive takes you to the trailhead on the outskirts of Paro. From here, begin your unforgettable hike to Taktsang Monastery, famously known as the Tiger’s Nest. The trail ascends through pine forests draped in fluttering prayer flags, with glimpses of the monastery perched dramatically on a sheer cliffside.

A visa for Nepal can be obtained on arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu and at the border entry points in Kakadvitta, Birgunj, Bhairahawa, Nepalgunj, Gaddachowki on the Nepal-India border, and Kodari and Rashuwagadi on the Nepal-China border.

Outside of Nepal, A visa can also be obtained at the nearest Nepal Embassy or Diplomatic Mission.

To renew a Visa you can go to the Department of Immigration, Kalikasthan, and Kathmandu.

Fill in the ' Arrival Card'

Fill in the Online ' Tourist Visa ' form (you can fill it up prior to your arrival by visiting our official website Department of Immigration / fill it up using Kiosk machines upon your arrival at the airport). If you fill it out from the website, you will get a submission Receipt with a barcode, please print it out and bring it along for acquiring a visa. It works for fifteen days and becomes invalid then after. If so, you will have to fill it up again.
