День 1. Fly to Paro airport 2,280 m and drive to Thimphu 2,300 m-02 hrs.
Upon landing at Paro International Airport, Bhutan’s only international gateway, you will complete the visa and entry formalities. The moment you step outside the terminal, your experienced Bhutanese guide will greet you with a warm, traditional welcome.

From here, embark on a picturesque two-hour drive to Thimphu, the charming capital of Bhutan. The journey winds through the serene countryside, past terraced fields, meandering rivers, and quaint farm villages that perfectly capture the essence of Bhutanese rural life. Along the way, you will have your first glimpses of ornately decorated houses, fluttering prayer flags, and the unmistakable Himalayan backdrop.

Upon reaching Thimphu, check into a comfortable hotel where you can rest and adjust to the peaceful rhythm of the Kingdom of the Thunder Dragon.

День 2. At Thimphu 2,280 m for cultural tour.
After a refreshing breakfast, begin your immersive cultural tour of Thimphu, a city where tradition and modernity harmoniously coexist. Your day starts with a visit to the Memorial Chorten, an impressive stupa built in honor of Bhutan’s late 3rd King, His Majesty Jigme Dorji Wangchuck. This iconic landmark is a place of deep spiritual significance, where you can observe locals performing their daily religious circumambulations.

Next, explore the National Institute of Traditional Medicine, where centuries-old healing practices are still preserved and practiced. A stop at the School of Arts and Crafts offers a fascinating insight into Bhutan’s “13 traditional arts” (Zorig Chusum), from intricate thangka paintings to wood carving and embroidery.
Continue to Changangkha Lhakhang, the oldest temple in the Thimphu Valley, perched on a ridge with panoramic views. Then, enjoy a short scenic drive to the giant Buddha Dordenma statue, one of the largest Buddha statues in the world, offering breathtaking views over the valley.

День 3. Drive to Punakha 1,350 m via Dochu-La 3,200 m - 03 hrs.
After a memorable cultural exploration of Thimphu, set off on a picturesque drive to Punakha, passing through the stunning Dochu-La Pass at 3,200 m. On a clear day, this vantage point rewards travelers with a panoramic sweep of Bhutan’s highest peaks, including the majestic Chomolhari (Jumolhari) and a chain of snow-capped summits stretching across the horizon.

Pause at the pass to stroll among the 108 memorial chortens (stupas), a serene and photogenic site draped in fluttering prayer flags. As you descend from the pass, the landscape shifts from cool highlands to the lush, subtropical Punakha Valley.

If time allows, enjoy a gentle hike to Chime Lhakhang, affectionately known as the Temple of Fertility. This sacred site, linked to Bhutan’s unique tradition of phallic symbolism, is a place where locals and visitors alike come to receive blessings.

Later, embark on a short (less than two hours) hike to Tashigang Hongtso Monastery, a tranquil retreat set at the edge of a forest clearing with views over Hongtso town. This centuries-old monastery has long been a beloved stop, known for its peaceful atmosphere and deep spiritual presence. Around the complex, you may see pilgrims in silent meditation, adding to the site’s serene energy.

Tashigang Hongtso is also home to about 40 orphaned children, who receive education and guidance from the resident monks. День 4. Drive to Bumthang 2,600 m via Trongsa -05 hrs.
Today’s journey takes you deeper into the heart of Bhutan, as you travel to the culturally rich Bumthang Valley. The scenic drive unfolds like a moving postcard—winding mountain roads, emerald hills, and patchwork fields dotted with traditional Bhutanese homes.

En route, stop at the historic town of Trongsa, strategically perched on a ridge with commanding views of the Mangde Chhu Valley. Here, visit the Trongsa Dzong, Bhutan’s largest fortress-monastery, which has played a central role in the country’s history. The dzong’s whitewashed walls, intricate woodwork, and tiered courtyards offer a glimpse into Bhutanese craftsmanship and monastic life. Also worth a short stop is the Trongsa Tower Museum, housed in the former watchtower, with exhibits showcasing royal relics, Buddhist art, and the region’s heritage.

Continuing the journey, the road climbs and descends through forested passes and alpine landscapes, revealing occasional glimpses of distant peaks and hidden hamlets. Upon arrival in Bumthang, check into your hotel and take some time to relax after the day’s drive. Begin with a gentle hike to the 17th-century Jakar Dzong, also known as the “Castle of the White Bird.” Built during the reign of Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal, Bhutan’s first ruler, the dzong stands proudly on a ridge, offering sweeping views of the valley below. Its massive whitewashed walls, ornate woodwork, and monastic atmosphere provide a fascinating insight into Bhutan’s history and architecture.

День 6. Drive to Phobjikha Valley / Gangtey Village 2,830 m (180 km) -05 hrs
After a memorable stay in Bumthang, enjoy breakfast before setting off on a picturesque drive to the Phobjikha Valley, home to the charming Gangtey Village. The route winds through rolling mid-hills, past emerald-green fields, terraced farmlands, and clusters of traditional Bhutanese houses. Along the way, you’ll be treated to ever-changing vistas of the countryside and forested slopes dotted with prayer flags.

Upon arrival, check in at a cozy farmhouse or hotel, where the warmth of Bhutanese hospitality awaits. The Phobjikha Valley, sitting at an elevation of around 3,000 meters, is one of Bhutan’s few glacial valleys and is best known as the winter home of the rare black-necked cranes. These graceful birds migrate here from Tibet every year, and the valley’s pristine wetlands provide a safe haven for them.

The road climbs over high ridges that reward you with sweeping views of the valleys below and the distant Himalayan ranges. Along the way, there will be chances to pause for photographs or simply to breathe in the crisp mountain air one last time before reaching Paro.

By late afternoon, you’ll arrive in Paro and settle into your comfortable hotel. The rest of the day is yours to relax or take a gentle stroll through the town, perhaps exploring local shops for handcrafted souvenirs or sampling traditional Bhutanese snacks.
День 8. Hike to Taksing Monastery Tiger’s Nest overnight in Paro
After an early breakfast, a short drive takes you to the trailhead on the outskirts of Paro. From here, begin your unforgettable hike to Taktsang Monastery, famously known as the Tiger’s Nest. The trail ascends through pine forests draped in fluttering prayer flags, with glimpses of the monastery perched dramatically on a sheer cliffside.

Reaching the viewpoint feels like stepping into a painting — the white-walled monastery clings to the rock face, surrounded by sweeping views of the Paro Valley and distant Himalayan peaks. This sacred site has been a place of meditation and retreat for Buddhist monks and spiritual masters for centuries, making it one of the most revered pilgrimage spots in the world.

After exploring the monastery and absorbing its peaceful energy, descend back to the valley and enjoy a short drive to visit the Ta Dzong, a 17th-century watchtower later transformed into Bhutan’s National Museum in 1967. Complete visa information to enter Nepal.

A visa for Nepal can be obtained on arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu and at the border entry points in Kakadvitta, Birgunj, Bhairahawa, Nepalgunj, Gaddachowki on the Nepal-India border, and Kodari and Rashuwagadi on the Nepal-China border.

Outside of Nepal, A visa can also be obtained at the nearest Nepal Embassy or Diplomatic Mission.

To renew a Visa you can go to the Department of Immigration, Kalikasthan, and Kathmandu.

A valid Passport and 1 Passport-size photo.

Visa can be obtained only through payment of cash in the following currency: Euro, Swiss Franc, Pound Sterling, US Dollcurrenciesralian Dollar, Canadian Dollar, Hong Kong Dollar, Singapore Dollar and Japanese Yen.

Credit cards, Indian currency, and Nepali currency are not accepted as payment of visa fees

Please follow these simple procedures for a Tourist Visa on Arrival at the airport (TIA) if you have not acquired a Visa prior to boarding the plane.

1 st Step

Fill in the ' Arrival Card'

Fill in the Online ' Tourist Visa ' form (you can fill it up prior to your arrival by visiting our official website Department of Immigration / fill it up using Kiosk machines upon your arrival at the airport). If you fill it out from the website, you will get a submission Receipt with a barcode, please print it out and bring it along for acquiring a visa. It works for fifteen days and becomes invalid then after. If so, you will have to fill it up again.

2nd Step

Make payment at the bank according to your visa requirement (15/30/90 Days)

3rd Step
