День 1. Arrival in Paro drive to Thimphu (2334m)
Your Bhutan journey begins with an unforgettable flight into Paro International Airport, one of the most scenic air approaches in the world. As your plane descends, you’ll be treated to sweeping views of the narrow Paro Valley, lush green hills, and the shimmering Pa Chu (Paro River) winding through the landscape.

Upon landing, you’ll complete immigration formalities before meeting your friendly Bhutanese tour guide, who will be with you throughout your adventure. Outside the terminal, a private vehicle will be ready to whisk you away on a 54 km drive to Thimphu—a pleasant journey of around 1 hour. Along the way, you’ll pass fertile farmlands, forested hills, and quaint rural settlements, giving you your first taste of Bhutan’s natural and cultural charm.

Upon arrival in Thimphu, your guide will assist with hotel check-in so you can relax and freshen up. Depending on your arrival time, you may head out to explore the impressive Tashichho Dzong, a Buddhist monastery and fortress that also serves as the seat of Bhutan’s government. Here, you can witness the harmonious blend of religion, culture, and administrative life.

День 2. Thimpu Sightseeing Tour
After an early breakfast, you’ll set out to explore the highlights of Bhutan’s charming capital, Thimphu—a city where tradition and modernity blend seamlessly.

Your first stop is the Memorial Chorten (Jangchup Chorten), a striking white stupa built in memory of Bhutan’s third king. Locals come here daily to circumambulate, spin prayer wheels, and offer prayers, making it a vibrant place to witness Bhutanese spirituality in action.

Next, you’ll visit the National Institute for Zorig Chusum, the official school of Bhutan’s traditional arts and crafts. Here, students train in thirteen different art forms—from wood carving and painting to embroidery and statue-making. From there, you’ll head to the Royal Takin Preserve, home to Bhutan’s unique national animal—the takin. День 3. Drive to Punakha
After breakfast, your journey continues with a scenic drive through the Himalayas toward Punakha, the former capital of Bhutan. About 40 minutes into your ride along the Trashigang Highway, you’ll reach the Dochula Pass (3,050 m) — one of Bhutan’s most picturesque high points. This mountain pass is adorned with 108 white chortens (stupas) set against a panoramic backdrop of the snow-capped Eastern Himalayas. On a clear day, the views are simply breathtaking. The colorful prayer flags fluttering in the breeze and a warm cup of tea here will make for a truly memorable pause.

From the pass, you’ll take a short detour to the Royal Botanical Garden, home to a rich diversity of Himalayan flora. Stroll among its vibrant plant species before continuing your descent toward the Punakha Valley, where the scenery shifts from cool alpine forests to lush subtropical greenery.

Upon arrival in Punakha, you’ll enjoy a relaxing lunch at a charming local restaurant. Reenergized, you’ll embark on a gentle 30-minute hike to Chimi Lhakhang, also known as the Temple of Fertility. Built in 1499, this temple is closely associated with the eccentric 15th-century saint, Drukpa Kunley—affectionately called the “Divine Madman.” Known for his unconventional methods of teaching Buddhism, he remains a beloved figure in Bhutanese folklore. Even today, childless couples visit the temple to receive blessings.

Next, you’ll visit the Punakha Dzong, often regarded as one of Bhutan’s most beautiful fortresses. Constructed in 1637 at the confluence of the Pho Chu and Mo Chu rivers, the dzong is a masterpiece of Bhutanese architecture. Having survived fires, floods, and earthquakes, it has been lovingly restored and still serves as an important religious and administrative center. Expansive green fields, terraced farmlands, and winding rivers rest quietly beneath towering Himalayan peaks. The valley is dotted with ancient monasteries, sacred temples, and traditional Bhutanese villages—each a testament to Bhutan’s rich history and deep spiritual roots.

Your exploration begins with a visit to the National Museum of Bhutan, housed in the historic Ta Dzong—a former watchtower that once guarded the valley. Inside, you’ll discover a treasure trove of Bhutanese art, artifacts, and historical relics that offer fascinating insights into the kingdom’s heritage.

Next, you’ll make your way to the Paro Rinpung Dzong, one of Bhutan’s most iconic fortress-monasteries. With its whitewashed walls, intricate woodwork, and commanding position overlooking the valley, the dzong is both an administrative center and a venue for vibrant religious festivals. In the afternoon, you’ll enjoy a short drive to a traditional Bhutanese farmhouse set among the valley’s fields and hillsides. These picturesque, two- or three-story homes—built entirely without nails—feature ornate painted walls, carved window frames, and colorful patterns unique to the region. Visiting a farmhouse offers a glimpse into rural Bhutanese life, where centuries-old traditions continue to thrive.

День 5. Paro – Taktsang Monastery / Tiger’s Nest Temple Hike
Today’s adventure takes you to Bhutan’s most iconic landmark—the Taktsang Monastery, also known as the Tiger’s Nest Temple. Clinging dramatically to a sheer cliff face 900 meters (2,950 ft) above the Paro Valley floor, this sacred monastery is one of the most photographed sites in the country and a profound symbol of Bhutan’s spiritual heritage.

After breakfast, you’ll take a short drive to the trailhead at 2,600 meters. From here, your hike begins—winding through forests of oak, rhododendron, and pine, with glimpses of the Paro Valley opening up below. Colorful prayer flags flutter in the wind, and the crisp mountain air invigorates each step.

Your first stop is at a viewpoint café, where you can rest with a hot drink while admiring your first unobstructed view of the Tiger’s Nest perched high above. From here, the trail continues past prayer wheels, small shrines, and cascading waterfalls. The final approach involves a steep stone staircase, but the sight of the monastery growing closer with each step makes the climb feel all the more rewarding.

Legend holds that Guru Rinpoche, the 8th-century Buddhist master who brought Tibetan Buddhism to Bhutan, flew to this site on the back of a tigress to subdue a local demon. He then meditated here for three months in a nearby cave, which you can still visit today along with the complex’s sacred Lhakhangs (chapels), adorned with murals, chortens, holy relics, and even a sacred spring.

After exploring the monastery, you’ll descend back to the valley floor, a trek of roughly 90 minutes. Those who prefer can hire a horse for the initial uphill section to the café viewpoint. On the way back, you may stop by a traditional farmhouse for a glimpse into authentic Bhutanese rural life before returning to Paro.

In the evening, enjoy a farewell dinner with your guide, reflecting on your journey through Bhutan’s landscapes, legends, and living traditions.

At the appropriate time, your driver will transfer you to Paro International Airport. Please ensure you arrive at least two hours before your scheduled departure. As you board your flight, carry with you unforgettable memories of Bhutan’s cultural treasures, spiritual heritage, and natural beauty.

Complete visa information to enter Nepal.

A visa for Nepal can be obtained on arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu and at the border entry points in Kakadvitta, Birgunj, Bhairahawa, Nepalgunj, Gaddachowki on the Nepal-India border, and Kodari and Rashuwagadi on the Nepal-China border.

Outside of Nepal, A visa can also be obtained at the nearest Nepal Embassy or Diplomatic Mission.

To renew a Visa you can go to the Department of Immigration, Kalikasthan, and Kathmandu.

A valid Passport and 1 Passport-size photo.

Please follow these simple procedures for a Tourist Visa on Arrival at the airport (TIA) if you have not acquired a Visa prior to boarding the plane.

1 st Step

Fill in the ' Arrival Card'

Fill in the Online ' Tourist Visa ' form (you can fill it up prior to your arrival by visiting our official website Department of Immigration / fill it up using Kiosk machines upon your arrival at the airport). If you fill it out from the website, you will get a submission Receipt with a barcode, please print it out and bring it along for acquiring a visa. It works for fifteen days and becomes invalid then after. If so, you will have to fill it up again.

2nd Step

Make payment at the bank according to your visa requirement (15/30/90 Days)
