День 1. Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400 m / 4,600 ft)
Welcome to Nepal! Upon landing at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, our friendly representative will greet you just outside the terminal with a placard bearing your full name. From there, you'll be transferred to your pre-booked hotel in the city. Take this time to relax and settle in after your flight.
In the afternoon, we’ll host a pre-trip briefing at our office, where you’ll meet your trekking guide or tour leader. This session is important for final preparations, so feel free to ask any questions about the trek. Please bring the following items to the meeting:
• Your passport
• 2 passport-sized photos
• A copy of your travel insurance policy (if not sent to us via email)

You'll also be asked to sign a legally binding trip agreement and a non-liability disclaimer form.
After the briefing, if time allows, you can explore one of Kathmandu’s cultural landmarks nearby. In the evening, head to Thamel, the lively tourist district known for its diverse restaurants and local shops. It’s the perfect place to enjoy your first Nepali dinner or try international cuisine before your adventure begins.
День 2. Sightseeing tour of Kathmandu valley (1,400 m / 4,600 ft)
After breakfast, your sightseeing tour of Kathmandu valley will start. You will have a professional tour guide with a private vehicle. Today you will visit following cultural wonders of Kathmandu valley:

Swambhunath Stupa/Monkey temple:
Is an ancient religious architecture atop a hill in the Kathmandu Valley, Swayambhunath is among the oldest religious sites in Nepal. The Swayambhunath consists of a stupa and a variety of shrines and temples. A Tibetan monastery, museum and library are more recent additions. And we can see 360 degree view of Kathmandu valley. This will be a good way to start your day with

Pashupatinath Temple:
Pashupatinath Temple is one of the most important and significant Hindu temples of Lord Shiva in the world. Located on the bank of the Holy Bagmati River near the airport. The major temple is strictly for Hindus only even though you are not allowed to go inside the main temple you can clearly see the temple and the activities from the other bank of the river.

Boudhanath Stupa:
Another UNESCO World Heritage site; Boudhanath another holiest site of Kathmandu valley. It was built in the 5th century with pairs of eyes on all 4 directions keeping an eternal watch over the people and their doings.

Patan durbar square:
City of Fine Arts Patan; The ancient royal palace of Patan faces on to magnificent Durbar Square. This concentrated mass of temples is perhaps the most visually stunning display of Newari architecture to be seen in Nepal. The historic monument which describes the oldest architecture of Nepal is Patan durbar square, Temple construction in the square went into overdrive during the Malla period (14th to 18th centuries),

Kathmandu Durbar Square:
After finished sightseeing in Patan on the way to your hotel, our driver will drop you to Kathmandu Durbar Square (only if you are staying at Thamel) from where you can walk back to Thamel through a narrow and oldest open street market of Asan. In Kathmandu durbar square you can see the following:
• Pagoda style temples which were made twelve to eighteen centuries
• An ancient royal palace with museum
• Kashthamandap (which named to the city as Kathmandu)
• Living Goddess Kumari
• Black Bhairava (God of death)
День 3. Drive from Kathmandu to Jagat
Your unforgettable Nar Phu Valley Trek begins today with a scenic and adventurous drive from the bustling capital of Kathmandu to Jagat. Early in the morning, a private vehicle arranged by Namaste Nepal Trekking & Research Hub will pick you up directly from your hotel.

As you leave the vibrant streets of Kathmandu behind, the landscape quickly transforms into lush greenery and terraced hillsides. Driving along the Prithvi Highway, you'll catch glimpses of the Trishuli River, forested ridges, and rural villages—offering the first taste of Nepal’s natural beauty.

Enroute Highlights:
• Naubise Stop: Enjoy your breakfast break here with freshly baked bread, local tea, and light Nepali dishes.
• Muglin: A bustling junction town where local vendors trade goods and produce. Great for window views and cultural immersion.
• Dumre & Besisahar: As you approach Besisahar, the gateway to the Annapurna region, you’ll enjoy panoramic views of the Marsyangdi River Valley and rolling green hills.

From Besisahar, the journey shifts gears—literally. You'll switch to a 4WD vehicle for an adventurous ride on the off-road trail that climbs alongside the roaring Marsyangdi River. Expect to pass suspension bridges, towering waterfalls, steep cliffs, and traditional mountain hamlets.

A short break at Syange gives you a chance to stretch your legs and admire the region’s iconic waterfall before continuing the drive.
By late afternoon or early evening, you'll arrive at Jagat (1,300m)—a quaint stone-paved village nestled among dramatic mountain terrain. Jagat marks the official start of your trekking route.

After check-in at the tea house, your guide will conduct a briefing session to prepare you for the trekking adventure ahead.

Travel Tips for Today:
• Early Departure: Be ready by 5:00–6:00 AM for a smooth start to the long journey.
• Road Conditions: Expect bumpy, narrow, and dusty roads—especially from Besisahar to Jagat. Wear a mask, sunglasses, windproof jacket, and comfortable footwear.
• Snacks & Water: Bring bottled water and light snacks to stay refreshed during the drive.
• Weather Awareness: During the monsoon, roads can become slippery and prone to landslides—check forecasts and dress accordingly.
День 4. Trek from Jagat to Dharapani
After a good night's rest in Jagat, your first official trekking day on the Nar Phu Valley Trek begins! Following a hearty breakfast at the tea house, you’ll set out on a scenic trail that gradually climbs towards Dharapani, your destination for the night.

The trail kicks off with a suspension bridge crossing, leading you through a rocky and forested landscape. You’ll follow a moderately uphill path as the Marsyangdi River roars beside you, offering stunning views and the soothing sounds of nature.
Soon, you’ll reach Tal, a beautiful village located on a wide, flat valley. Tal is known for its cascading waterfalls, peaceful atmosphere, and stone houses. It’s a great spot to rest, hydrate, and snap some memorable photos.

After a short break at Tal, you'll continue your walk—crossing another suspension bridge, and gently ascending through pine forests and small settlements toward Lower Dharapani. As the trail levels out, the terrain becomes more open, and you’ll enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding hills and rivers.

With a few more gentle ups and downs, you’ll soon arrive at Dharapani (1,860m)—a significant junction point for trekkers heading into various parts of the Annapurna and Manaslu regions. It’s here you’ll settle in for the night at a cozy tea house.
День 5. Trek from Dharapani to Koto
Today’s trek takes you deeper into the heart of the Nar Phu Valley, offering a mix of cultural sights and breathtaking mountain views. After an early breakfast, we begin our journey by walking toward the quaint village of Bagarchhap, about an hour away. Along the way, you’ll pass through lush forests and get your first glimpse of a local monastery, a serene spot reflecting the Tibetan Buddhist influence of the region.

Continuing for another hour, the trail gradually ascends to Danaque, where the environment begins to shift with the thinning tree line and rugged mountain scenery.

Next, prepare for a steeper climb as the path rises sharply toward Timang. Here, you’ll be rewarded with spectacular views of Mount Manaslu (8,163m)—the world’s eighth highest peak—and the striking Peak 29. This vantage point is a highlight for trekkers and photographers alike.

After soaking in the panoramic mountain vistas, we will trek through dense forest for about an hour and a half, moving steadily toward Latamarang—our lunch stop for the day. This peaceful spot is perfect for a well-deserved break amid nature.
The final leg of today’s trek takes us through more forested trails, with the magnificent sight of Annapurna II towering above. Soon after, we reach the charming mountain village of Koto, situated at 2,670 meters, where you’ll spend the night resting in a cozy tea house.
День 6. Trek from Koto to Meta
After registering our permits at the police checkpoint in Koto, we begin today’s trek by following the serene banks of the Soti Khola River. The trail here is lined with lush pine forests, creating a peaceful and refreshing atmosphere as we make steady progress.

Along the way, you’ll cross several classic suspension bridges that swing gently over rushing streams and rivers. Keep an eye out for the beautiful waterfalls cascading down the cliffsides, adding a magical touch to the journey.
After about five hours of trekking through this verdant landscape, we reach Dharamshala, a quiet resting spot where trekkers often pause to catch their breath and enjoy the natural surroundings.

From Dharamshala, the forest begins to thin, opening up wider views of the surrounding mountains. We continue uphill for approximately one and a half hours through the remaining forested areas, gradually climbing toward Meta Village, located high on the Tibetan Plateau.

Upon arrival at Meta, you’ll be rewarded with stunning panoramic views of Annapurna II and Lamjung Himal, whose snow-capped peaks dominate the horizon, offering unforgettable mountain scenery.
День 7. Trek from Meta to Phu Gaon
Today’s trek involves a mix of gentle ascents and descents as we traverse rolling hills and cross several suspension bridges over sparkling mountain streams, surrounded by pristine natural beauty.

After about four hours of trekking, we arrive at Kyang, an intriguing site where you can explore the remains of the ancient Khampa settlement. Here, you’ll find the ruins of old forts and structures, offering a fascinating glimpse into the region’s rich history and heritage.

Continuing onward, the trail becomes rockier as we follow the course of the Phu Khola River, trekking for another three to four hours through rugged landscapes. The peaceful sounds of flowing water accompany us as we steadily make our way towards the next highlight of the journey.

At the end of the day, we reach the remote and charming Phu village (Phu Gaon), nestled high in the valley. This traditional settlement boasts authentic Tibetan-influenced architecture and culture, providing an unforgettable experience. We will spend the night here, enjoying the warm hospitality of the local community and the tranquil mountain surroundings.
День 8. Trek from Phu Gaon to Nar
Today’s trek is one of the most rewarding and exhilarating days of the journey, as we cross two significant high mountain passes: Phu Pass at 5,050 meters and Nar Pass at 5,400 meters.

Leaving the charming Phu Gaon behind, we start our ascent through rugged alpine terrain. Along the way, you will cross several sturdy suspension bridges spanning crystal-clear streams, including the famous Mahendra Pul — a breathtaking highlight of the trail.

The climb offers spectacular panoramic views of the towering Pisang Peaks and the surrounding Himalayan giants. Each step rewards you with fresh and stunning perspectives of these majestic mountains, providing perfect moments to pause, breathe deeply, and soak in the natural grandeur.

After conquering Nar Pass, we descend gradually into the remote and peaceful Nar village, known for its traditional Tibetan culture and warm hospitality. This isolated valley is a hidden treasure, offering tranquility and unmatched mountain scenery.
День 9. Acclimatization and Preparation at Nar
Today is a much-needed rest and acclimatization day, giving your body time to adjust to the high altitude while allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the unique culture and environment of the remote Nar Valley — often called the “Lost” or “Hidden” Valley.

During this day, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the rich traditions and daily lives of the local ethnic groups such as the Lama, Gurung, and Ghale communities. Discover how these resilient people survive in this harsh but beautiful landscape through traditional agriculture, animal husbandry, and seasonal migrations.

We’ll visit the sacred Tashi Lhakhang Monastery, a remarkable spiritual center and one of the most important Buddhist monasteries in the region. Here, you can experience peaceful moments of reflection and learn about Tibetan Buddhist practices.

The day will also be filled with stunning mountain views, including the impressive Himlung Himal and other towering snow-capped peaks that surround the valley, offering plenty of photo opportunities.
In the evening, we will head back to the cozy teahouses in Phu Gaon for a restful night.
День 10. Trek from Nar to Kang La Pass to Ngawal
Starting from Nar, the trail gently ascends through lush yak pastures near Temdenzon Khola, offering panoramic views of the rugged west ridge of Pisang Peak. The fresh mountain air and open landscapes create a perfect setting for a rewarding day of trekking.

Continuing onward, we reach Jhombu Kharka (also known as Kang La Phedi), the base camp at the foot of the imposing Kang La Pass. From here, the trail steepens as we begin the climb to the pass itself.

The climb to Kang La Pass (at 5,306 meters) takes roughly two hours. Though the path is steep, it’s manageable for most trekkers with good fitness and acclimatization. Upon reaching the summit, you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking, sweeping views of some of the Annapurna range’s most magnificent peaks—Annapurna II, Gangapurna, and Tilicho Peak.

After soaking in these stunning vistas, the trail descends for about three hours, leading us to the charming village of Ngawal. Here, you’ll rest and enjoy a comfortable overnight stay amid serene mountain surroundings.
День 11. Trek from Ngawal to Manang
Leaving Ngawal behind, we follow the scenic trail along the Marsyangdi River, making our way toward the bustling town of Manang. The route takes us through lush forests and charming villages such as Braga and Paugh, where you can observe traditional mountain life and architecture.

Along the journey, stunning views of Tilicho Peak and the majestic Annapurna mountain ranges continually captivate trekkers, providing countless photo opportunities and moments to soak in the natural beauty.

Upon reaching Mungli, our path merges with the well-trodden Annapurna trekking trail. From here, it’s a pleasant hike to Manang, a vibrant town known for its beautiful landscapes, rich culture, and welcoming hospitality.

We’ll spend the night in Manang, giving you time to rest and acclimatize before continuing the adventure.

Tips for Day 11:
• Take your time to enjoy the cultural richness of villages along the way
• Use this day to acclimatize as you gain altitude approaching Manang
• Stay hydrated and dress in layers to adapt to changing mountain weather
День 12. Trek from Manang to Yak Kharka
Leaving the charming village of Manang, we begin the day by crossing a gentle stream before ascending toward the quaint village of Tenki. From here, the trail gradually climbs out of the Marsyangdi Valley, steering northwest into the serene Jarsang Khola Valley.

As we follow this peaceful valley, the landscape transforms into open pastures dotted with fragrant juniper trees. Along the way, we pass the small village of Ghunsa, known for its traditional flat mud roofs and rustic mountain charm.

Continuing through lush meadows, you’ll spot grazing horses and yaks adding life to the stunning alpine scenery. Crossing a small river via a wooden bridge, the path leads us to an ancient Mani wall nestled in a tranquil meadow — a spiritual landmark reflecting the Tibetan Buddhist heritage of the region.

Our day ends as we arrive at the small village of Yak Kharka, where we’ll spend the night surrounded by pristine nature and breathtaking mountain views.
День 13. Trek from Yak Kharka to Thorong Phedi
Today’s trek takes us to Thorong Phedi, the base camp of the famous Thorong La Pass. This small but bustling settlement serves as a crucial rest stop for many tired trekkers and climbers preparing for the challenging pass ahead.

Thorong Phedi is often used as a base camp for those attempting the pass. Some trekkers choose to push further today and hike up to the High Camp to make the following day’s ascent easier. However, our experienced team leader generally advises against this.

Although the next day will be demanding, it’s safer and wiser to rest at Thorong Phedi, which is at a lower altitude, rather than risking the effects of sleeping at the higher and colder High Camp. Tonight, we’ll enjoy a well-deserved, restful night here, preparing for the big day ahead.
День 14. Trek from Thorong Phedi To Thorong La Pass to Muktinath
Today marks one of the most exciting and challenging days of the trek as we cross Thorong La Pass, one of the highest mountain passes in the world and the highest point on our journey.

The climb to the pass is demanding, with steep trails and cold, icy air. However, the spectacular panoramic views from the summit make every step worthwhile. From the top, you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking vistas of the Annapurna mountain range behind you and the vast Tibetan plateau stretching out ahead.

After celebrating at the pass, we begin our descent to Muktinath, a sacred pilgrimage site revered by both Hindus and Buddhists. The descent is steep and takes about 3 to 4 hours.

At Muktinath, you will have the opportunity to visit the famous temple complex. Known as “Chumig Gyatsa” in Tibetan, meaning “Hundred Waters,” the temple features 108 holy water springs and an eternal flame that burns continuously — a spiritual symbol deeply respected by visitors and pilgrims alike.
День 15. Trek from Muktinath to Jomsom
Today, we descend through the spectacular Kali Gandaki Gorge, one of the deepest gorges in the world, surrounded by towering cliffs and dramatic dry landscapes.

As we follow the valley floor alongside the Kali Gandaki River, we pass through charming traditional Tibetan-style villages like Jharkot and Khingar, where ancient customs and architecture remain beautifully preserved.

The trail is mostly gentle and scenic, making for a pleasant walk until we reach Jomsom, the bustling gateway town of the Mustang region. Here, you’ll have time to relax and reflect on the incredible journey so far.

We’ll spend the night in Jomsom, preparing for the next stage of your adventure.
День 16. Fly from Jomsom to Pokhara
Start your day early with a warm cup of tea, breathing in the crisp mountain air surrounded by the majestic Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. Today, you’ll be flying from Jomsom to Pokhara, and the morning flight offers the best chance to soak in the breathtaking panoramic views of the Annapurna region.

After a short walk from your teahouse, you’ll reach Jomsom Airport, perched at an altitude of 2,736 meters—one of the highest airstrips in Nepal. Here, you’ll board your domestic flight to Pokhara.

Though the flight lasts just 15 to 20 minutes, the journey is unforgettable. From your airplane window, marvel at the snow-capped peaks, deep valleys, and the winding Kali Gandaki River far below.

As the plane descends toward Pokhara, the scenic Phewa Lake comes into view, framed by lush green hills. Upon landing at Pokhara Airport, a short drive will bring you to your hotel, where you can check-in and relax.

In the afternoon, explore the vibrant city of Pokhara, rich with natural beauty and cultural sights. Here are some top places to visit near Lakeside:

День 17. Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu
After breakfast, we’ll begin our journey back to Kathmandu by road. The drive offers beautiful landscapes and a chance to reflect on the incredible adventure you’ve just completed.

Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you’ll be transferred to your hotel for check-in and some well-deserved rest. The day is free for you to relax, catch up with your travel companions, organize your photos, or perhaps do some last-minute souvenir shopping.

In the evening, we’ll come together to celebrate the successful completion of your Nar Phu Valley Trek with a special farewell dinner, complete with traditional Nepali cuisine and cultural performances.

You’ll spend the night in Kathmandu, cherishing the memories of this unforgettable journey.

Your Nepal adventure concludes today. Spend your last hours enjoying a leisurely stroll through Kathmandu’s bustling streets or pick up souvenirs to remember your journey.

Our Namaste Nepal Trekking & Research Hub representative will meet you at your hotel and transfer you to Tribhuvan International Airport for your onward flight. As you leave, reflect on your incredible trek through one of Nepal’s most remote and spectacular regions — the majestic Nar Phu Valley. And of course, start dreaming about your next Himalayan adventure!

Complete visa information to enter Nepal.

A visa for Nepal can be obtained on arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu and at the border entry points in Kakadvitta, Birgunj, Bhairahawa, Nepalgunj, Gaddachowki on the Nepal-India border, and Kodari and Rashuwagadi on the Nepal-China border.

Outside of Nepal, A visa can also be obtained at the nearest Nepal Embassy or Diplomatic Mission.

To renew a Visa you can go to the Department of Immigration, Kalikasthan, and Kathmandu.

A valid Passport and 1 Passport-size photo.

Visa can be obtained only through payment of cash in the following currency: Euro, Swiss Franc, Pound Sterling, US Dollcurrenciesralian Dollar, Canadian Dollar, Hong Kong Dollar, Singapore Dollar and Japanese Yen.

Please follow these simple procedures for a Tourist Visa on Arrival at the airport (TIA) if you have not acquired a Visa prior to boarding the plane.

1 st Step

Fill in the ' Arrival Card'

Fill in the Online ' Tourist Visa ' form (you can fill it up prior to your arrival by visiting our official website Department of Immigration / fill it up using Kiosk machines upon your arrival at the airport). If you fill it out from the website, you will get a submission Receipt with a barcode, please print it out and bring it along for acquiring a visa. It works for fifteen days and becomes invalid then after. If so, you will have to fill it up again.

2nd Step

Make payment at the bank according to your visa requirement (15/30/90 Days)

Get the receipt

While you can use different modes of payments (at the visa fees collection counter), we advise you to carry some cash to be on the safe side.

On Arrival Visa Fee at Entry Points,

15 Days – 30 USD

30 Days – 50 USD

90 Days – 125 USD

3rd Step

Proceed to the Immigration Desk with your online form, payment receipts, and your passport. Hand in your documents to the immigration officer for visa processing.

He/she issues visas to you upon his/her satisfaction.
